Senior Credit Analyst, Business Banking

FT/PT:  Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position has completed levels I, II and III of the Commercial Relationship Manager Training (CRMT) program.  The employee will be proficient in all areas of credit analysis: able to perform complex credit analysis and prepare clear, complete written and oral presentations with minimal assistance.  This position will not continue in the CRMT program, and therefore, will not continue to participate on sales calls with the Relationship Managers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related major with at least two accounting courses
  • Strong analytical ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Minimum 2 years credit analyst experience with demonstrated skills in areas such as cash flow and financial analysis
  • Skills and experience should be commensurate with successful completion of Levels I and II as defined in the Commercial Relationship Manager Training Program
  • Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Commercial Banking Officers in the handling of complex relationships with minimal assistance
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all areas of credit analysis: able to perform complex credit analysis and prepare clear, complete written and oral presentations with minimal assistance
  • Present analysis of loan presentation to loan committee with minimal direction and supervision from Relationship Managers
  • Prepare monthly production and exception reports
  • Basic portfolio responsibility: maintain and support business with existing clients
  • Begin to establish a network of financial and legal professionals to support the business needs of clients
  • Participate in all required training sessions for compliance
  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility
  • Implement bank-directed policy and changes relating to regulatory amendments
  • Attend Loan Committee meetings
  • Attend all training sessions required in CRMT program
  • Assist in training of less experienced credit analysts/CRMT trainees
