Residential Lending Assistant

FT/PT:  Full-Time

Support the strategic and tactical goals of the Mortgage Division through client relationship management, appointment coordination, prospecting, special event marketing, general client maintenance and regulatory compliance.


Perform sales related and operation duties for Top Producing Mortgage Loan Originator.  These duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting customers request and review loan related client documentation prior to submission to Loan Operations, assist with marketing and promotional campaigns, maintain spreadsheets and reports, and help organize client files.  Utilize technology and other office equipment to expedite duties.


  • High School diploma, two or four year college degree preferred        
  • 2 -3 years experience in mortgage lending/banking environment
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient use of technology including Microsoft Office
  • Possess professional appearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under deadline pressure
  • Position requires the need to work varied hours/days including occasional overtime as business dictates
  • May need to travel to other branch locations
  • Subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements


  • Assist with administrative and technical aspects of loan originations
  • Obtain/Transmit correspondence as necessary on a timely basis
  • Assist the Mortgage Loan Originator in completion of application and other forms, and processing of various documents
  • Speak with clients on all customer service related topics
  • Assist Mortgage Loan Originator with the scheduling of appointments, including outbound calling
  • Perform processing tasks and develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports
  • Maintain and organize the Mortgage Loan Originators client files and records in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support the Loan Operations teams to ensure loans are ready to close in < 30 days
  • Interface with all lines of business and make appropriate referrals
  • Organize and coordinate special functions as needed
