Commercial Sales Associate

FT/PT:  Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Serves as primary sales support partner for multiple relationship managers and treasury management officers in the management of their portfolios. Responsible for assisting with duties, identifying client service and sales needs, analyzing and identifying client cross-sell opportunities, client service issues, potential revenue run-off or increases and make appropriate recommendations.  

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    College degree preferred
    5-7 years’ experience in sales support or customer service field
    Awareness and understanding of bank processes, products and solutions used by commercial clients 
    Solid business acumen and sound analytical thinking in support of sales activities
    Self-starter who takes charge in absence of detailed instruction; effectively initiates solutions including proactive client outreach.
    Strong interpersonal and overall communication skills (written and verbal)
    Ability to effectively and independently verbally communicate with clients and key decision makers.
    Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize to meet deadlines; highly productive and efficient multi-tasker
    Collaboration and teaming skills
    Strong client focus
    Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.  Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint preferred.
    Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations.  
 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assist Relationship Managers on multiple relationships including larger, more complex client relationships.
    Assists relationship managers with the effectively delivery of Bank sponsored marketing content, including white papers, economic update reports, product updates, client entertainment events and client presentations.
    Maintains primary responsibility for Salesforce accuracy, including client information, deal pipeline, industry/legal codes, systems of record linkages, and the RM’s Client Action Plan (CAP) with efficient timeliness, completeness and accuracy. 
    Track and input sales data and provide sales reporting as needed. 
    Analyzes client activity, including client deposits, fee activity, and client service call/inquiry volumes to proactively identify client deepening opportunities or client service issues. 
    Create value for Commercial clients through identifying cross-sell opportunities and potential revenue run-off or increases and makes appropriate recommendations. 
    Has primary responsibility for customer due diligence processes by ensuring timely and accurate compliance to policy and regulatory requirements related to Anti-Money Laundering and related Know-Your-Client activities. 
    Produce effective industry research/data for use in the sales and/prospecting process and assists client team with sales presentation content. 
    Manages risk activities related to wires, check fraud, overdraft/ uncollected funds and serves as point of contact for overdraft monitoring and escalations.
    Assists commercial banking officers & treasury management officers with special projects and ad hoc requests.
