Regional Recruiting Manager for Consumer Banking

FT/PT:  Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

First Midwest Bank is growing rapidly!  Manage the recruiting process for our Branch and Consumer Banking hiring managers. Partner strategically with hiring managers to develop sourcing plans, execute those plans, attract talented applicants, interview, select and present the best fits to the managers.  You will negotiate compensation and close offers.  We want a planner who will develop an applicant pool of diverse candidates from multiple sources in order to efficiently and in a cost effective manner fill open positions. We have a great career ladder within our Talent Acquisition group. 

In June 2021, First Midwest announced its intent to merge with Old National Bank based in Evansville Indiana. As a result, the combined companies will become the 5th largest regional bank with $45B in total assets, $33B Assets Under Management in Wealth Management, $4B mortgage originations, over 270 branches operating in 7 states, and approximately 4,000 employees. This growth provides career opportunities for our employees as well as our increase capabilities to reach even more and larger clients. all while retaining our great Midwest cultural values. 
 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 1 or more years of recruiting experience required
  • We require someone who is thoughtful, considerate, detail oriented with great interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations. May help out with college recruiting program. .
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent HR work experience required

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner strategically with hiring managers to develop sourcing strategy, administer tests and conduct interviews of candidates, present qualified candidates to management, and negotiate compensation package and extend offers to selected candidates
  • Focus on non-exempt positions for our Branch Banks and all consumer banking roles. Opportunity to help with college recruiting programs.
  • Proactively identifying diverse applicant pools
  • Develop a qualified applicant pool from multiple sources including direct sourcing, referrals, campus recruiting, networking, and other appropriate sources to fill openings while controlling the cost per hire
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Ensure that recruiting and hiring activities are in compliance with governmental regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain on-going positive relationships with multiple external recruitment sources and vendors
  • This position will be expected to assist other field recruiters and the Corporate and/or Commercial recruiter with openings as workload dictates.
