Mortgage Direct Sales Manager

FT/PT:  Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Direct Sales Manager will assist the Channel Manager in driving: value, leading change, delivering results and building / coaching sales teams.  This Sales leader will be tasked to implement and coach to the strategic direction of the Consumer Mortgage Direct Channel and directly manage 10 Direct Residential Lenders.  In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to lead a Consumer Direct sales team, with a goal of optimizing purchase volume execution. This position is salary based with a monthly override commission plan.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of residential mortgage lending experience; preferably within a bank environment
  • 4+ years of previous mortgage sales management experience
  • Proven ability to hire, recruit and retain a Residential Lender sales team of minimum of 20 + loan originators
  • Experience in the digital mortgage landscape with a proven track record of supervising or managing mortgage consumer direct team
  • Expert knowledge in all areas of loan policies/regulations, procedures, and mortgage compliance
  • Subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and monitor weekly performance standards including application and closing objectives for each Direct Residential Lender. 
  • Accountable for managing a team to achieve a specific volume plan, quality targets and the overall client experience
  • Implement performance-based measurements and processes
  • Provide daily and weekly sales coaching to Direct Residential Lenders
  • Manage escalations and issues in the product/pricing, administrative and disciplinary areas
  • Ensure compliance standards are met and Bank compliance courses are completed for the Mortgage line of business

 

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Achievement of budgeted annual budgeted production expectations.  With a minimum of 90% achievement for each quarter
  • Monthly reviews of production, pipeline status and defined activity goals to drive success
