Responsible for reconciliations relating to identified branch, deposit and general ledger accounts.

  • High School Degree required, some college preferred
  • Ability to identify, problem solve and exercise good judgment with respect to the disposition of daily issues as they arise;
  • Experience in utilizing FIS, Windows 7, Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and Lotus Notes
  • Basic understanding of banking regulations and Federal Reserve rules, as well as Bank policy as it relates to Deposit Operations preferred.
  • Proficiency working in spreadsheets
  • Ability to acquire and use new skills as job requires
  • Position requires the need to work varied hours/days including occasional overtime
  • Responsible for the preparation and completion of detailed reconciliations relating to identified branch, deposit and general ledger accounts
  • Responsible for monitoring outstanding entries and communicating with appropriate business units to ensure timely clearing.
  • Identify methods of improving both functional and departmental efficiencies that contribute to improved delivery of quality service and have potential to reduce expenses
  • Assist in administering record retention controls relative to account reconciliations
  • Participate in all required training sessions for compliance
  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility
  • Client Posting Adjustments:  Process error corrections/adjustments as a result of encoding errors, double-posted or misapplied funds.
  • Account Research:  Perform retrieval of statement and/or check copies from image archives; also ability to recreate statement activity.
  • Proof of Deposit Suspense Clearing:  Responsible for the balancing and the clearance of items from the FIS daily work processing.
  • Implement bank-directed policy changes related to regulatory amendments
  • Cross train on all duties of department
  • Meet departmental service levels while maintaining high quality
