IT Technical Support Specialist II

FT/PT:  Full-Time

Provide first level IT support during and after hours for the users on all current software and hardware. Responsible for repairs on computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required
  • Additional college coursework in computer science preferred
  • 3 plus years working experience in Windows Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Office O365
  • 3 plus years troubleshooting desktop/laptop computer issues
  • 3 plus years exposure to hardware/software troubleshooting
  • A+ Certification preferred
  • IBM Certified preferred
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor under stress
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
  • Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations.
  • Ability to occassionally work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules

Responsible for providing hands-on field work for hardware repair and maintenance during and after hours as necessary:

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals
  • Maintains spare parts inventory for hardware repair and maintenance per region
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades and replaces hardware and software systems
  • Timely response (per defined standards) to dispatches for system issues, repair and maintenance and IS requisitions
  • Labels, pulls, and terminates cable
  • Troubleshoot problems associated with system issues/hardware repair and documents efforts in the ITSM tool for future problem resolution
  • Completes required paperwork, such as : checklist, timesheets, service requests and incidents

Responsible for Technical Project Implementation:

  • Participates in the implementation of hardware / software rollouts and upgrades as directed
  • Assist with maintaining an on-line computer hardware inventory/asset management system

Responsible for participating in new/closed site technical implementation and other miscellaneous facility and technical projects:

  • Participates in new site installations and facility projects as necessary
  • Provides cutover support for new sites as directed and as necessary
