Wealth Management Officer

FT/PT:  Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for portfolio of at least 150 accounts and asset size of area managed will be greater than $500 million.

 

Please note this position can be based in either Palos Heights, IL or Highland, IN.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5+ years' prior Wealth Management Officer experience
  • Knowledge in the areas of trust administration, investment management and employee benefit accounts
  • Proven sales and networking skills
  • CFP strongly preferred
  • Effective public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • PC literate and good knowledge of FIS wealth management system
  • Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assume administrative responsibility for a selected group of accounts
  • Meet with clients for the purpose of discussing their needs and benefits of Wealth Management services in order to expand client relationships
  • Achieve annual negotiated performance standards
  • Monitor account activity and portfolio mix to ensure that established investment guidelines are met
  • Profile clients, plus calculate and monitor their net worth on an ongoing basis
  • Participate in all required training sessions for compliance 
  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility
  • Implement bank-directed policy and changes relating to regulatory amendments
  • Review investment performance with clients
  • Attend and actively participate in office sales meetings and Officer’s Wealth Management and Investment committees
  • Offer guidance and assistance to less experience officers
