Senior IT Auditor

FT/PT:  Full-Time

We are flexible on the office location.  This role interacts regularly with our IT staff located in downtown Joliet.  You will be responsible for leading (auditor-in-charge) of IT audit projects required to execute a successful multi-year audit coverage strategy.  To achieve this you need to maintain a strong understanding of the business’ historical, current and future IT operations, including the diverse set of associated risks and control structures.  The Senior IT Auditor must also have a solid understanding of industry events and emerging risks within the financial services industry.  Additionally, this position will be expected to ensure IT audit coverage within the various business functions is comprehensive and liaison with the Audit Manager and Audit Services Director to ensure scope is aligned with regulatory focus areas such as SEC, FDIC, FRB, CFPB.


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or other applicable concentration with emphasis on technology risk

3-5 years of IT audit experience

Prior experience in testing IT general controls

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficient with Office 365 products

Strong analytical skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Detail oriented, accurate and organized

Project management experience preferred

Prior SOX 404 experience preferred

Preferred certifications include CISA, CIA, CISSP

Knowledge of banking procedures preferred.

Lead, conduct and document internal audits in accordance with the FMBI Audit Services Manual

Analyze and compile audit findings. Prepare reports of findings and recommendations for improvement

Perform timely and regular follow-up on open audit and exam recommendations

Perform SOX 404 IT general control testing

Participate in the development of Staff Auditors

Assist external auditors in the execution of their test procedures

Perform continuous monitoring and risk assessment update for IT-related functions

Assist the Audit Services Director with special projects as necessary
