Senior Private Banker

FT/PT:  Full-Time

Facilitate the delivery of full-service wealth management service to high-net-worth individuals.  Offer financial and wealth management advice, and maintain customer awareness of company services.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or other related field with at least 2 Accounting courses preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of increasing responsibility within the banking sales function with proven results over time; proven ability to develop new banking relationships
  • Minimum 4 years experience in private banking management
  • Formal credit training
  • Strong analytical ability with effective written and verbal communication skills required
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal and State regulations covering banking activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations.

  • Extensive interaction with high-net-worth bank customers and prospects requiring tact and persuasiveness in presenting the bank’s position
  • Regular interaction with bank customers and prospects in social settings requiring sophistication to represent the bank positively within the communities we serve
  • Routine interaction with the Commercial and Retail Banking staff, Loan Review, Compliance and others as needed
  • Administer FMB’s private banking activities, ensuring that a full range of private banking services are provided to high-net-worth individuals with the largest and/or most complex accounts
  • Call on potential or existing customers to develop new business by promoting company services and products
  • Adhere to set policies and procedures; may recommend changes to direct manager
  • Develop strategies to market and deliver private banking services to high-net-worth individuals
  • Manage large to complex private banking loan portfolio, and review the quality of the portfolio to monitor the development of unfavorable trends
  • Cross-sell various products and services (such as Trust and Investment products) offered by other lines of business to ensure timely and efficient delivery to private banking customers
  • Achieve set goals for deposit and loan volume
  • Follow established lending procedures and perform adequate credit analysis; provide advice and guidance to subordinate private banking officers on complex credit decisions
