Incentive Compensation Consultant, Financial Services

FT/PT:  Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the SVP, Total Rewards, the Consultant, Incentive Compensation supports all compensation programs for the Bank.  We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Incentive Compensation Consultant to join our Total Rewards team.  The Bank offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design of all our compensation programs to meet current and future business needs. This role will partner with management and the lines of business to develop and implement new and revised incentive compensation programs, policies, and procedures, in support of the Bank’s multi-year strategic plan. Additionally, this role will collaborate with all lines of business to provide credible, expert consultation regarding compensation strategy and program development/application/interpretation.  Strong analytical, technical, financial, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across all lines of business is a must.  The successful candidate will be results oriented and flexible with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCP, etc.) preferred
  • Experience in financial services industry is strongly preferred
  • 5 plus years of compensation experience
  • Ability to influence senior leadership
  • Strong collaborative and analytical skills
  • Strong business partner/consulting skills
  • Solid understanding of compensation laws, regulations, principles, trends and technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer focus
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with other internal departments
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with management and the lines of business in the on-going management and creation of new incentive compensation programs
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of incentive compensation plans in line with the Company Code of Conduct
  • Responsible for administration and oversight of the incentive compensation plans
  • Create and manage all incentive program documentation
  • Coordination of program approval process and program implementations
  • Audit incentive program payout calculations as completed by Finance
  • Generate reporting on all program payouts, including annual incentive compensation payouts
  • Serve as the liaison between lines of business and external compensation consultants as it relates to the development, implementation and on-going management of incentive compensation programs
  • Serve as primary point of contact for both internal and external incentive compensation audits
  • Collaborate with and provide expert consultation, advice and solutions to HR Consultants for compensation issues
  • Partner in administration of year-end compensation planning process
